Our Chief Naturepreneur will discuss what has been going on this winter, so far, and attempt to offer explanations for unusual patterns and behavior. He'll open the room to a discussion about what attendees have been observing.

Carol Coogan is a local artist, illustrator, designer, writer, and creator of the Times Union's "Backyard Naturalist" feature. Nature journaling is a lifelong habit that helps you connect to nature and record your observations. Nature sketching is one way to record what you see. You don't have to be an artist to be successful; beginners are welcome and encouraged to attend! Class fee of $12 due at sign up; sign up in store or by phone - 518-478-WILD

FREE Winter Break Activity for Kids! Bring the kids, ages 5 and up, into the store for an age appropriate activity + craft. The topic is Hibernation. Learn about the critters that hibernate and create a related craft! The activity will be conducted, again, by the famous Slingerlands Elementary School Teacher (Retired), Mrs. Kathy Raffe!
